Rice is the friend of gracefulness and the enemy of diseases:

Rice is considered one of the whole foodstuffs because it contains various nutritional elements necessary for the human body. It has been considered as whole food by some Asian peoples since hundreds of years. The dwellers of those countries are famous for being slim and of low weight and are not vulnerable to diseases. Rice is one of the best grains for health, due to its low contents of fats and cholesterol and non-existence of sodium, low salts, limited calories and abundance of fibers, minerals& vitamins (this is in brown rice). Rice is prescribed as a substitute for grain for those who are sensitive to grains because rice does not contain the protein that causes this sort of allergy. It is also prescribed to diabetic children after being prepared by a specific way. Rice is also an optimal food for some patients who need a special diet, such as the heart and kidney patients (boiled rice) and as a diet against fatness and for the diabetics (after adding some foodstuffs to it such as the low fat milk or the skimmed fat milk and avoiding fats, spices and some calorie rich substances).

Some of us may be surprised to know these facts related to the health aspects of rice because it is generally believed in the Middle East countries that rice is the cause of diabetics and heart diseases. In fact this is scientifically untrue and there does not exist any study, which proves any relation between these diseases and rice in our meals. Rice can be good or bad to health depending on the way it is prepared and cooked and the type of the substances added to it.
